Summary

Together with Samantha Basantes, I analyse Ecuador's legal and policy response to Venezuelan migration before and after COVID-19, using data on vulnerable assistance seekers in Quito. We identify a persistent gap between formal rights and effective protection while making clear that the exploratory data are not a national migrant sample.
